A business delegation representing 20 companies was in Tunisia for meetings between the 13th and 17th June 2012. The delegation was promoted by Malta Enterprise, and the meetings were set up by the Maltese Embassy in Tunis, in collaboration with the Tunisian Promotion Agency for Investment and Innovation (API), the Centre for Promotion of Exportation (CEPEX), the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Tunisian Embassy in Malta set up meetings in Sousse for the delegation. The delegation was also invited for an introductory meeting to business in Tunisia by the Ernst and Young offices in Tunis.  This is the fourth business delegation to visit Tunisia in the last three years, thanks to the collaboration between Malta Enterprise and the Embassy of Malta in Tunisia.

The delegation had over 170 b2b meetings during its stay. The delegation also attended the Tunisia Investment Forum, an international forum organized by the Tunisian Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, which was opened by the Tunisian Prime Minister Jebali Hamadi.

Trade between Tunisia and Malta is increasing greatly. Maltese products may now be found in Tunisian supermarkets. The Maltese embassy in Tunis continues to provide assistance to Maltese companies wishing to establish contact with Tunisian businesses.
