The Embassy of Malta in Paris had the distinct pleasure of receiving a group of 30 students from the Sacred Heart Seminary of Gozo.  The visit took place on Saturday 14 July 2012 which happened to be the anniversary of the French Revolution of 1789.

The students were met at the Embassy with the Ambassador of Malta to France Mr. Pierre Clive Agius.  These students learn French at their school.  Some of them in fact, received their successful results during their stay in France. Ambassador Agius congratulated the students for their results and encouraged them to continue specializing in the French language.  Ambassador Agius expressed his wish that other Maltese schools follow on the example of the Sacred Heart Seminary and include visits in their programmes to the Embassy which is Maltese territory.

The students prepared themselves very seriously for this visit with interesting research about the sites they were to visit.  These sites not only included the usual beautiful Paris landmarks but also other less popular sites like La Vilette and Le Stade de France.

The group is being accompanied by Mr. Ivan Farrugia, Fr. Emanuel Saliba, Fr Laurence Sciberras and Mr. Joseph Ciantar.
