Inaugurated on February 8, 1967, the Embassy of Malta in Rome was amongst the country’s first embassies overseas following the attainment of Independence in 1964.
Geographical proximity and intense cultural, historical and personal ties prevailing for centuries continue to facilitate the enhancement of the wide spectrum of relations as reflected in Italo-Maltese political, economic and cultural cooperation.
