Accessibility Accessibilty Menu
Each of the www.mfa.gov.mt pages has an accessibility menu down the left hand side of the screen. Just by clicking onto the checkbox the pull down menu will be turned off, thus making it easier to be navigated by visual impaired people.
The text links include a description box informing the user where the link will go. This can be viewed by placing the pointer over the line of text.
Acrobat Reader (PDF Documents) Most documents found on this site are .pdf files, and can be opened only if you have installed Adobe Acrobat Reader. Since there are different versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, we advise you to open your Acrobat reader before you click on a .pdf document, this will automatically open the .pdf file in the adobe reader you have opened. A link to the adobe site can be found on the main page.
Site specification The www.mfa.gov.mt web site has been designed with all users in mind.
The standard outline guide for the site was for an SVGA resolution monitor (1024 X 768) using 256 colours. The site is quite useable with specifications lower than this.
Browser compatibility The www.mfa.gov.mt web site has been fully tested on Internet Explorer browser and on the majority of existing computer operating systems.
www.mfa.gov.mt uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to format the textual information within each page. Only browsers from version 4 upwards fully understand CSS formatting.
Printing pages Any page can be printed from the web by the user selecting file, print from the menu option within Microsoft IE or Netscape.
Bookmarking pages To bookmark a particular page the user selects Favorites, Add to Favorites from the menu option within Microsoft IE or Bookmarks, Add Bookmarks in Netscape.
Searching To complete a search the user has to enter a word or collection of words into the text search box. Pressing the return key or clicking on the search button will present the user with a listing of documents which correspond to the search details. These results will be rated, the most complete matches will be listed first, decreasing in relevance as the user goes further down the list.
Submitting feedback www.mfa.gov.mt supplies a feedback form to give users an opportunity to voice their comments on the service.
